Segunda Demo
Hemos sacado otra demo para la NEOCompo de primavera del 2007. La pueden descargar desde la página de descargas.
Entre la mejoras, ahora podemos disfrutar de dos modos de juego, ¡uno a doble pantalla! Solventados algunos bugs y mejorado el gameplay en general. Le dejo con algunas imágenes del nuevo modo para abrir boca :

I do hope the project is alive and kicking…
I always loved Pang so TamaSurvivor could become one of the most played games in my DS lite :) I’ve been playing in an M3 Simply.
I think there are some major bugs left in the gfx department:
1- The game will freeze with some garbled gfx every time I lose in dual mode
2- The game will freeze in classic mode if I was shooting a gun and then get a hook and shoot (gfx become garbled like previous case)
3- I played a long time in dual mode with a ectoplasm shield and the big green gun (too easy with it) and after a while some of the sprites (hearts, ladders…) disapeared and some were replaced with images of the shiels or gun shots (but with different colors… they were brown)
4- If I let the time reach 0 I won’t even see the ball (until it hits me at least)
Some other issues:
1- While the game is paused or you just lost, the racoon will (sometimes… mostly after playing a while) keep moving but in a faster pace (the rocking movement it has when you don’t press any key)
2- You can’t really see the gun shots or the gun in classic if the background color is similar (use a blue border like the ectoplasm shield?)
3- The hook that sticks to the top of the screen doesn’t destroy the kinder blocks (and currently is the worse weapon because if you miss it’ll take a lot for you to be able to shoot again)
4- In the classic mode there won’t be a pop when you shoot the balls (only if they hit you).
5- Items just fall too fast (most times you will only see the difference when you see the results…)
6- The hook in the dual screen moves too fast and without the smae visual effects as in the classic mode.
7- You just invert the images when the character is facing left/right (tricky you… you can see it from the scar in the face, the XD in the back of the jacket and the arm that holds the gun)
8- Save game doesn’t save my highscores (is it because of my card?)
Some suggestions:
1- Add a menu item to indicate the weapon you currently have
2- Change the life number indicator. You won’t know how many you have if it’s more than five (symbol x lives number ?)
3- Cange the life icon to a racoon head
4- More gorish backgrounds/music (after all it’s the attack of the zombie balls!)
5- Once most issues are solved I hope you add an adventure mode (playing by levels… and with two screens levels can have two floors)
6- Slowmotion feature (hourglass item?)
7- More different balls (not just colors… bombs, the one with the star, the flashing one that stops time, balls that divide every time they hit the ground, balls that divide into the smallest part on hit/hits the ground… PangZero is a good inspiration)
8- Add the annoying enemies :)
9- Change the way the pause screen works (at least in the dual mode because it’ll show as background of the game you were playing)
10- Turn the way you input the highscore more arcade-ish (use the font of the main screen and not the keyboard, slelect the chars the same way you select games in PuzzleManiak)
11- Play using touchscreen (character moves with the stylus movements, when you take the stylus off the screen the caracter shoots)
12- Different characters with different abilities (Pang 3 comes to mind)
I bet most of these are already in a TO DO list but I figure I say it anyway.
Really hope to see any sort of news about the project (new release, new blog input… really anything). Pitty there is no e-mail… not sure you’ll see this.
